The American Planetree, also called in Latin Platanus occidentalis, is generally living in zones around eastern half of United States. It is usually shaped as a large, deciduous tree, making it a very interesting plant! In the summer, its leafs are changing looking like alternate leaf arrangement and in the automn its foliage then is turning yellow-brown. The American Planetree (Platanus occidentalis) has flowers that are monoecious, with separate male and female flowers and its fruits are more or less rounded, tannish brown fruit.
