The Bristlecone Pine, known in its Latin name to be Pinus aristata, is generally living in zones around mountainous regions of the southwestern United States. Its morphology is mainly evergreen small tree, up to 20 ft., making it a very interesting plant! In the summer, its leafs are changing looking like 5 needles per fasicle and in the automn its foliage is specially no fall color (remains green). The Bristlecone Pine (Pinus aristata) has flowers that are monoecious and its fruits are more or less dark puplish brown cone. An interesting characteristic it has is its bark, where a special pattern can be found, native to mountainous regions of the southwestern United States on it. An interesting fact on the way it is cultured is that in native habitat, found on dry, rocky, soils However, another characteristic with the Bristlecone Pine can be that very slow growth in landscape A way to identify a Pinus aristata having its needles in 5's, tufted apperance. The Bristlecone Pine's reproduction is uncommon since it performs it by seed, no treatment is needed for good germination
