Bur Oak
Latin Name:      Quercus macrocarpa location:      eastern and central United States
The Bur Oak, also called in Latin Quercus macrocarpa, can be found more or less around eastern and central United States. Its morphology is mainly a large, deciduous tree, making it a plant very different from others. In the summer, its foliage changes to a new form, more or less alternate leaf arrangement and in the automn its foliage then is yellowish-brown fall color. The Bur Oak (Quercus macrocarpa) grows flowers that are brown catkins and grows fruits, characterized as 1" to 1.5" long, brown acorn. An interesting thing is its bark, where we can find grayish-brown bark color on it.
