The Bur Oak, also called in Latin Quercus macrocarpa, can be found more or less around eastern and central United States. Its morphology is mainly a large, deciduous tree, making it a plant very different from others. In the summer, its foliage changes to a new form, more or less alternate leaf arrangement and in the automn its foliage then is yellowish-brown fall color. The Bur Oak (Quercus macrocarpa) grows flowers that are brown catkins and grows fruits, characterized as 1" to 1.5" long, brown acorn.
