The Common Honeylocust, scientifically known as Gleditsia triacanthos, i usually found close to parts of the central Untied States. Its morphology is mainly a medium to large deciduous tree, making it a fabulous plant! In the summer, more or less, its foliage is alternate, pinnately or bipinnately compound leaves and in the automn its foliage then is leaves turn a showy, clear yellow. The Common Honeylocust (Gleditsia triacanthos) also has flowers being small, greenish-yellow flowers and contains fruits that are 7" to 18" long, twisted, flattened pods. An interesting thing is its bark, where we see gray-brown color on it. Something that is noticeable to know about its culture is that full sun However, a bad thing with the Common Honeylocust can be that large thorns can be dangerous We can easily identify Gleditsia triacanthos having its pinnate and bipinnately compound leaves.
