The Dawn Redwood, scientifically known as Metasequoia glyptostroboides, i usually found close to China. It normally look like a deciduous, coniferous , large tree, making it a unique plant! In the summer, a special form of foliage appears, more or less leaves are deciduous and in the automn it is more or less turns a unique pinkish tan to reddish bronze before dropping in the fall. The Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) grows flowers that are monoecious with male and female flowers and grows fruits that are elongated or rounded cones. An interesting characteristic it has is its bark, where a special pattern can be found, shredded reddish brown bark on it. Something that is noticeable to know about its culture would be that very rapid grower However, an inconvinient with the Dawn Redwood can be that susceptible to early fall frosts because it tends to grow late into the season It can be easy to recognize a Metasequoia glyptostroboides with its conical, uniform habit. The Dawn Redwood's propagation is uncommon since it will do it by seed following stratification
