The Downy Hawthorn, scientifically known as Crataegua mollis, i usually found close to Canada down through the Dakotas and Virginia. It usually looks like a deciduous tree, making it a unique plant! In the summer, its leafs are changing looking like alternate leaf arrangement and in the automn it is more or less yellow to bronze fall color. The Downy Hawthorn (Crataegua mollis) has flowers that are white flowers and its fruits are more or less a red pome. An interesting thing is its bark, where we can find grayish brown bark on it. A fact to point at regarding the way it is cultured is that easy to grow However, a bad thing with the Downy Hawthorn can be that thorns can be hazardous It can be easy to recognize a Crataegua mollis with its 2" long thorns along stems. The Downy Hawthorn's propagation is pretty interesting since it does it by cuttings
