The Eastern Hemlock, originally named Tsuga canadensis, can be found more or less around eastern North America. It usually looks like a needle evergreen, making it a unique plant! In the summer, its foliage looks like leaves are spirally arranged, but are held in a 2-ranked fashion and in the automn its foliage then is evergreen, no fall color. The Eastern Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) has flowers that are monoecious, with male and female flowers and grows fruits that are small cones, about 0.5" to 1.0" long. It has a beautiful Bark, where a special pattern can be found, overall brown color on it.
