The Kinnikinick, which is also referred as Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, i usually found close to northern regions of Europe, Asia and North America. It normally look like an evergreen groundcover, making it an uncommon plant! In the summer, its foliage is more or less alternate, simple leaves and in the automn it can be described as evergreen. The Kinnikinick (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) has flowers that are white to pink color and contains fruits that are bright red berries (drupe). Its bark is very interesting, where we can find stems are fine so bark is not a major feature on it. An interesting information to note about the way it is cultured would be that can be difficult to transplant and establish An inconvenient with the Kinnikinick can be that hard to establish It can be easy to recognize a Arctostaphylos uva-ursi with its evergreen groundcover.
