The Nootka Falsecypress, which is also referred as Chamaecyparis nootkatensis, i usually found close to coastal or mountainous, moist regions of North America from Alaska south to Oregon. It can generally be recognized as a medium-sized evergreen tree, making it a unique plant! In the summer, more or less, its foliage is evergreen, needle -like leaves and in the automn its foliage then is no autumn color. The Nootka Falsecypress (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis) grows flowers that are not of ornamental importance and its fruits are more or less globose, brown cones. Its bark is very interesting, where a special pattern can be found, squared stems on it. An important thing to know regarding the way it is cultured is that prefers deep, moist, loamy soil An inconvenient with the Nootka Falsecypress can be that hard to find and expensive A good way to identify a Chamaecyparis nootkatensis having its needle-like leaves. The Nootka Falsecypress's propagation method is done in an interesting way since it is mainly done by cuttings
