The Old-man's-beard, also called in Latin Chionanthus virginicus, i usually found close to southeastern and south central United States. It usually looks like a deciduous small tree or large shrub, making it an uncommon plant! In the summer, its foliage looks like opposite arrangement and in the automn it can be described as a mix of yellow, green and brown. The Old-man's-beard (Chionanthus virginicus) has flowers that are dioecious, with male and female plants and grows fruits that are on female plants only. It has a beautiful Bark, where we see smooth on young branches on it. An important thing to know about the way it is cultured would be that full sun to partial shade However, an inconvinient with the Old-man's-beard can be that propagation is difficult so plant is expensive or hard to locate in commerce It can be easy to recognize a Chionanthus virginicus having its stem is square.
