The Red Chokeberry, originally named Aronia arbutifolia, can be found more or less around native throughout most of the eastern United States and into parts of southern Canada. It usually looks like 6' to 10' tall and 3' to 5' wide, deciduous, making it a plant very different from others. In the summer, its foliage is more or less alternate leaves are obovate, 1.5" to 3.5" long and 0.5" to 0.75" wide and in the automn it is more or less one of the best shrubs for brilliant fall color.
