The River Maple, which has for Latin name Acer saccharinum, is generally living in zones around eastern United States and central plains, but not in the southeastern states. Also adjacent parts of Canada. It is usually shaped as large tree to around 70', but can reach well beyond 100', making it an uncommon plant! In the summer, its foliage is more or less opposite leaves, 5-lobed, fairly deeply incised and in the automn its foliage is specially typically leaves drop a greenish yellow or green. The River Maple (Acer saccharinum) also has flowers being monoecious with male and female flowers on separate branches of a tree; some flowers may be perfect as well and grows fruits, characterized as samaras, 1.3" to 2.3" long, maturing in June.
