The Summer Lilac, also referred as Buddleia davidii, lives around China. It can generally be recognized as a large deciduous shrub 5' to 10' tall, making it a very special plant among others! In the summer, more or less, its foliage is opposite leaves and in the automn it can be described as no fall color. The Summer Lilac (Buddleia davidii) also has flowers being showy and grows fruits, characterized as small capsules. It has a beautiful Bark, where a special pattern can be found, new stems are greenish on it. An interesting information to note about the way it is cultured would be that remove winter-killed stems at a minimum However, an inconvinient with the Summer Lilac can be that lack of winter hardiness in zones 5 and 6 A way to identify a Buddleia davidii having its naked buds, opposite arrangement. The Summer Lilac's propagation method is done in an interesting way since it does it seed germinates readily
