The Sycamore, originally named Platanus occidentalis, is normally found around eastern half of United States. To recognize it it is mainly a large, deciduous tree, making it a unique plant! In the summer, its foliage is more or less alternate leaf arrangement and in the automn its foliage is specially turning yellow-brown. The Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) also has flowers being monoecious, with separate male and female flowers and grows fruits, characterized as rounded, tannish brown fruit. Its bark is very interesting, where we can see exfoliating bark on it.
