The Turkish Hazel, also called in Latin Corylus colurna, i usually found close to southeastern Europe. It is usually shaped as a deciduous tree, making it a unique plant! In the summer, its foliage changes to a new form, more or less alternate leaf arrangement and in the automn it is more or less yellow to purplish-red fall color. The Turkish Hazel (Corylus colurna) has flowers that are monoecious and grows fruits, characterized as nut, 0.5" across. An interesting characteristic it has is its bark, where a special pattern can be found, pale brown bark on it.
